Day 17 - Leadgate to Whitley Pike - 221 miles completed

We started today crossing muddy farm land, but we were in for a treat as by 11.15am
we had walked the 5.5 miles back to our current home in Bellingham.

We were welcomed at our cottage by Sherpa Nettie with tea and freshly baked brownies!
(She's so good)

The next part of the walk took us back to familiar territory ....moorland!
We wondered what joys awaited!

Same old scene as we crossed high stead hill!

And onwards to Lough Shaw. More of it!

Reaching the top of Deer Play, you won't be surprised to know there was no one but us there!
Quite bleak, but a signpost confirmed us in the right place!

Views from Deer Play nice though!

Onwards to the last bit along Whitley Pike and the hailstones arrived!!!!

But look what Sherpa Nettie prepared to warm us up when we got back!!!
